Software built around the way you work

We develop web applications that help people use a service and help teams run it. Membership systems, customer portals, internal tools and specialist platforms, shaped around the process, the information and the people involved.

Start with the work

We begin by understanding what happens today. Who needs to do what? Where does information change hands? Which decisions need a person, and which steps can happen automatically?

Working with the people who use the system, we map the process and define the first release. That can mean extending an existing platform, connecting several tools or developing a dedicated application.

The scope follows the work, with a clear view of what the application needs to make easier.

Give customers and members more control

A portal gives people a clear place to manage their relationship with your organisation.

We build account areas where customers, members or partners can update details, complete applications, access documents, manage renewals, make payments and check progress. The interface is organised around the tasks they came to complete, with clear instructions and status information.

Behind those journeys, the application connects each action to the records and staff processes that support it.

Give staff a clearer workspace

Internal tools need to reflect the way a team works. We develop administrative dashboards and systems for managing customers, members and operations, bringing related records, tasks and decisions into one place.

Staff can find a member, review an application, check payment history, manage an order or follow up an outstanding task within the same working context. Search, filters, status views and change history help people understand what has happened and what needs attention.

Different roles can have different access, giving each team the tools and information relevant to its responsibilities.

Make complex forms easier to complete

Some forms carry an entire service: a membership application, an artwork submission, a site inspection or a specialist registration.

We break those processes into clear steps, with relevant questions, validation, document or image uploads and the ability to save progress. Conditional fields can respond to earlier answers, while progress and status information help people understand where they are.

For staff working on site or across devices, we also consider how drafts are saved, how editing conflicts are handled and how people know their changes have reached the system.

Keep reviews and decisions moving

Submitting a form is often the beginning of a workflow. Someone may need to review it, request more information, approve it or pass it to another team.

We build those stages into the application, connecting submissions, correspondence, notifications and status changes. Staff can see what is waiting for a decision, while applicants or customers can understand what happens next.

The workflow keeps human judgement where it belongs and gives the surrounding administration a clearer structure.

Connect payments to the service

A payment often needs to change something elsewhere: activate a membership, renew access, allocate a ticket or confirm an application.

We integrate payment and subscription platforms such as Stripe with the rules of the service. That includes single payments, recurring renewals, donations, invoices, receipts and the account information people need afterwards.

The application needs to account for successful payments, incomplete checkouts, cancellations and changes made by staff. We shape those relationships so billing information and service status can stay aligned.

Build the specialist tool your service needs

Some applications turn specialist knowledge into something people can use directly. A search tool can make a large reference dataset easier to explore. A guided application can help someone work through unfamiliar choices. A configurator can apply pricing, quantity or product rules as selections change.

We develop the interface and the logic behind those experiences, connecting external data where needed. The aim is to make a complex service understandable while preserving the detail that makes it useful.

These tools can become part of an existing website or form the centre of a new digital product.

Connect the application to your wider systems

Custom applications often need to work with software the organisation already relies on. We connect them to websites, ecommerce stores, CRMs, accounting platforms, booking tools and external APIs.

Information can move between systems as an application is submitted, an order changes or a service is completed. We define which platform owns each record and how updates should be handled.

The less predictable situations matter too. A delayed response, repeated request or failed handover needs a clear recovery path and a way for staff to see what requires attention.

Make information useful

Reports should help people act on the information an application collects. We develop dashboards, filtered views and exports around the questions your team needs to answer.

That might mean identifying renewals due, reviewing pending applications, preparing a pickup run sheet or understanding activity over a particular period. CSV downloads, PDF reports and printable records can support the work that continues outside the application.

The reporting follows the underlying records and their agreed definitions, so people can understand what they are looking at.

Take care with access and change

An application needs clear rules about who can see information, who can change it and what happens when they do.

We plan authentication, permissions, file access, validation and activity history around those responsibilities. Important workflows are tested for the situations people will encounter, including incomplete information, duplicate actions and changes made at the same time.

These decisions sit alongside usability, accessibility, responsive layouts and performance. They help make the application a more dependable part of everyday work.

Move from existing systems with a plan

A new application often needs to carry useful history with it. We map existing records, relationships and statuses, then develop imports and checks around what needs to be retained.

Sample migrations and reviewable reports give the team a way to assess the data before a wider move. We also plan how staff will review the application, how it will be introduced and what needs to happen before the existing process changes.

The transition is part of the project, with its own practical requirements.

Build, review and keep improving

We develop applications in reviewable stages, giving your team access to working features as the build progresses. Feedback from the people using the system helps refine the interface and the workflow before release.

Hosting, deployment, monitoring and ongoing maintenance are planned around the application. After launch, we can continue with new features, integration changes, reporting improvements and refinements as the service evolves.

That can be a regular development relationship or a defined next phase.
